When mother and daughter get together

mother and daughter went out.
they had a chat over dinner. She talked about the past.
about how talented daughter's dad was.
how he used to have this construction company but, ultimately lost it all because he gambles alot.

she's supposed to have one more son who's 22 this year. but he didnt get to see the world because she was too poor back then.
one year later, daughter came along and they had the initial thought of giving her away to another family. but, dropped the idea after she was born because she cant bear to. Mother told daughter how she scrimp and save to help her dad to clear his debts and the times when she skipped maternity check-ups to save that few dollars. few days before the expected-delivery-day, she packed her bag and took a bus down to KK herself. i supposed her husband was gambling away.

she didnt complain about the path life had paved for her.
she stick with her husband through thick and thin because she loves him too much.

then, everything came crashing down when she found out he have a woman outside and the money she saved over the years from holding two jobs a day actually went to that woman.

Mother asked daughter what's bothering her because she noticed that for the past year, she seems distracted. She shrugged it off citing work-related problems as a reason.

She probed further, asking if she is seeing anyone now.
Daughter laughed it off and told her 'nobody wants your ugly daughter'



then, she started saying she sense that she had one in the past. daughter dont know what to say. told her she never really had one. just very good friend.


'ta dui ni hao ma? dao zhui hou wei she mer fen kai? ta qi fu ni?'

daughter nodded her head.

'hao. ta dui wo heng hao'
and started tearing.

mother saw her daughter tearing, got abit teary and dropped the topic.
