Wow. it's year 2021.
looking back, this space has been with me for many years, honestly i couldnt put a number to it except that it sees me through my teenage years till now.
with 2020 gone and we are mid way into 2021. as i try to recollect what has happened in these two years, all i could remember is how we transit from the usual icebreaker of 'how's things like for you working from home' till 'how does it feel like to be back in office'.
Who would have thought that working from home is the new norm. and who would have thought that leisure traveling is something that is not possible at this juncture.
it is probably at this period of time which made me realize how much joy i derived from traveling - it opens up another pair of eyes, to be soaked in the culture, to enjoy a different set of scenery and thoughts.
oh well. cest la vie i suppose?
now, what has changed throughout the years?
i have changed job, at times im still very lost, not too sure if i had made the right choice to move.
but amidst all the what-ifs and what could have been-s, i tell myself what done has been done, no other way but to look ahead. being a believer of the universe, things will prolly work out the way it should be.
career aside.
family - Mum is getting old and im trying my best to spend as much time as i could with her. though we are living apart, i will always make it a point to speak to her. Maybe because im the more affectionate one in the family, therefore i tend to 'sticky-er' towards her. but in any case, im a true blue mummy girl, as in the kind who will miss my mum if i dont hear from her for a while. Other than mum, im also glad that over the years bro and sis are finally talking. well, to cut the story short, some things happened and it also kind of brought the whole family closer together. therefore, its indeed true that every cloud has a silver lining - have to tune our mindset to see the silver lining.
relationship wise.
i think we are comfortable with each other - feels more like a family now. talking about what to eat, what to wash, retirement, this and that. not too sure if this is for the good or bad, but i will just leave this to fate or maybe the universe.
well, maybe thats all i have to update.
i hope all is well for everyone. as i look around me, see that most have already moved on to another phase of their life. some chasing after a promising career, some decides to take a back seat and focus on family. there is no right and no wrong in all, ultimately i believe that in whichever direction we are gonna take, do good and be good - this sounds simple but takes alot to achieve. Doing good does not mean donations or helping people in need (it spuns beyond that). To me, it also means being nice to people around you (strangers as well). Smile and be nice in terms of speech, gesture or language. does not take much to do that but for all you know, this little gesture of yours is able to inject some positivity into one's life.
yes, cliché it may sound. but............yes, the universe is an interesting/amazing place.
